If you have a complaint about a matter
other than an audit—such as our financial
administration, community engagement or corporate
publications—please direct your complaint as

note—any complaints about the conduct of VAGO officers
in relation to our use of coercive powers or compliance with
Section 11A, 11B, 11C, 11D, 11E , 11F, 20(1) and 20(3) of the
Audit Act 1994 must be referred by VAGO to the Victorian Inspectorate.
Further action for complaints about matters other than
If you are dissatisfied with VAGO’s
handling of the complaint, you have the right to ask for
reconsideration of the complaint by the Deputy Auditor-General.
Such a request should be made in writing by to the address provided
If you are still dissatisfied with the
outcome of your complaint, you may make a complaint to the
Victorian Ombudsman regarding administrative action taken by the
Office (but not the Auditor-General, who is exempt).
The Ombudsman asks that, before making a
complaint to his office, people try first to resolve their concerns
with the organisation concerned.
