Grants and subsidies to non-government organisations.

Tabled: 1 March 1994

Overview

In line with the Government's policy of placing greater emphasis on the involvement of the non-government sector, considerable sums of public moneys are provided to an extensive network of non-government organisations to provide such services. The provision of these services by the private sector requires that proper oversight be exercised by Government over the administrative processes in place to manage these arrangements. Various matters concerning the administration of grants and subsidies to non-government organisations at a central agency and departmental level are discussed in this report.
