Overview
The results of the financial statement audits of public sector agencies with other than 30 June 2004 balance dates. There are some 132 of these agencies—mostly universities, TAFE institutes and alpine resorts. The report also sets out the results of four special audits, examining: the effectiveness of the Sheriff’s Office in enforcing warrants for the recovery of outstanding fines and fees; the management of a major Justice sector 'change' project, namely, the Metropolitan Mobile Radio Network project; the administration of a grant to a community-based organisation; and the adequacy of internet security practices by local governments.
