Water Entities: results of the 2008-09 audits

This report covers 19 water businesses, which are wholly owned by the state government. It is the fourth of six reports to be presented to Parliament covering the results of our audits of 2008–09 financial reports.The water industry comprises:

• 16 water corporations constituted under the Water Act 1989, which report to the Minister for Water
• three metropolitan retail distribution companies established under the Corporations Act 2001, which report to the Treasurer of Victoria.
