Second Report for the year 1986-87
Overview
The purpose of this report is to outline those matters which are regarded as being of significance to the Parliament in terms of resource management efficiencies, the fairness of annual financial statements of public sector bodies, and the extent of compliance with legislation and government directives. This report contains three major segments dealing with issues raised during 1986–87 audits and other matters which have arisen up to March 1988. Part 1 provides a summary of major findings; Part 2 discusses across the board issues; and Part 3 comments on the results of audits of individual entities, arranged according to ministerial portfolio.
