Overview
Dental health has a significant impact on people’s general health and wellbeing, and on the economy in terms of lost productivity through absences from, or reduced activity at, work. As the population ages, data show that older Australians are retaining more natural teeth but that their oral health needs are becoming more complex. The objective of the audit was to examine the economy, efficiency and effectiveness of community dental services in Victoria.
